okay, okay...I'll stop with the music!!! But wait until I get started on adventures in May! Hey, I know the one person who reads this blog (thanks for lunch btw) is wondering when the annoying posts will end. Thus is the life of a job seeker, ugghhhh.

In only a few short weeks Aly will be graduating with a Masters of Arts in art history. This semester she is taking a web design class, recently completing a group project entitled, "Faces From Different Places." It's such a fun concept. Check it out:

By the way...new music

Gotan Project just released a new one on Tuesday- "Lunatico"

From Cd Now:

Not wanting to replicate what their debut, "La Revancha Del Tango", had achieved musically, the group has a decidedly stronger emphasis on the organic roots of tango on "Lunatico" and utilized a host of local musicians from Buenos Aires; a complete string section, two emcees, a trombonist, and Argentine piano legend and long time Gotan collaborator Gustavo Beytelmann. The result is their most accomplished work yet.

cherry blossoms

I am currently in Washington DC for a few reasons: to visit some amazing people, to enjoy this gorgeous city in the spring, and to interview for two fellowships.

I made it just in time for the last weekend of the Cherry Blossom festival, but it rained on parade day and now all of the blossoms are gone. The sight was amazing. The trees were a gift from Japan in 1912.

Happy Birthday Rachel and AJ!

On Monday I went to one of the immigration marches. It was a powerful sight to see the thousands of people waving their flags and carrying signs such as, "who are you calling an immigrant pilgrim?!" and "we are not criminals!" Senator Kennedy made a speech that had the crowd roaring.

Cait works a double shift at Cactus Cantina, a local Mexcian joint, on Saturdays. We planned a dinner to see her in action, but the wait to get one of her tables?? Over an hour! She was busy shuffling Mexican food delights, but made some time to smile for the camera. (Beautifully, I might add).

I first met Teresa the summer before law school when Aly and I lived in Denver with my cousin Amanda. Since she returned from the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan she has started working here in D.C.

Abe came up from Virginia for the weekend, but was greeted by rain. The weather cleared up by Sunday when we went to Camden Yards and watched the Red Sox beat the Orioles.
