This is for Jack Johnson

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY didn't you make track 12 of In Between Dreams a full-blown song??? How long can you cook thai food and listen to a song on repeat???? (Answer: 24). It's not even a real song, it's an interlude. BUT, the good news is that track 4 is a perfect way to end a day!

moments like this

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

You know who you are.

The mantra for the day: I am thankful for everything, I have no complaints.

This might be bad judgment, but I don't care...it made me laugh and we all know that laughter increases lifespan. Does anyone think that child napoleon is a bit too chunky? He'll probably grow into it, but will Pedro ever really fill those boots?!(or make that bolero work for that matter!!)???

Stuff on today's plate:

Another resplendent Austin day, bar review (partnership), an avocado smoothie, DJ Krush, and work. I'm waiting to bust out my leg warmers, but no need just yet!!! I hope everyone is having a beautiful day...

This entry really has no purpose other than to allow for a quick study break :)

just a thought for Tuesday

That which tastes sweet now will eventually become bitter. That which tastes bitter now will eventually become sweet.

I woke up early and got a bit of studying done. Then it was yoga, I'm happy to say that I got my aunt Kathy hooked on it while she was here. Now I'm off to work...at least it's only marginally gorgeous outside and not brilliantly sunny. I hope to post some pics from Wurstfest soon. It was a 10 day salute to sausage (yikes). We had a ton of family fun, I played a round of tennis, and Amanda shot hot grease into my left eye while biting into her sausage sampler. I apologize ahead for any nausea that last description may have induced.

I can't believe I missed Feist at Stubb's- ughhhhhh. We did, however, take my mom and Kathy to see Bob. Although they were shocked at some of his antics I think it was well worth it. For other fellow fanatics, he is no longer playing every monday night at the Saxon for only 8 bucks :(

Best happy hour in the city (and, incidentally the best music): Sao Paulo- a Brazilian place with TWO DOLLAR margaritas 2-7 M-Sat. They also have great specials on appetizers. Muito bon.
