The first entry of 2005
It's been a blurry month since I came back from Argentina- back to the land of margaritas, yummy mexican food, my beloved family and friends, the heavenly haven we know as Austin, Texas (shhh, don't tell anybody!), my mom and sisters' glorious baking and the winter holidays!!!Christmas was especially fun this year because my favorite cousin Amanda was there to witness the debauchery. The highlight of Christmas eve was when aunt Jan brought jello shots as her white elephant gift...and the whole family, including grandma, got a heaping spoonful(s). My best friend April came the day after Christmas to helping to reintroduce tequila into my bloodstream. Unbeknownst to us, our favorite dive restaraunt, La Tapitia, hosts a dj night on Mondays. We didn't know about this special club-night-for-under-age drinkers, or that we would end up spending over 8 hours there- all four Stolpman kids and our favorite friend April.
New Year's was great because I was with Hassan and BOTH of my sisters! We went to a swanky club in downtown Houston and danced the last night of the year away.
Now I'm back in Austin spending time with my law school friends and falling in love with this city all over again. I hope you are all happy and healthy, beginning this new year with strength and courage, excitement and focus. 2005 is the best year to be alive...
