Euphoria

The euphoria that I’ve been experiencing today is due to the refreshing run, i-Pod in hand, through the parks on a gloriously sunny day in Buenos Aires. Last night, a dinner party thrown by Maria “canchera” in honor of Peter’s early departure kept us entertained until 4 a.m. We had apertifis with babaganoush (a yummy egglplant pureé) and hummus that was stepped up a notch due to my addition of coconut milk (I still swear by the stuff!) The next plate was squash ravioli bathed in a spinach cream and mushroom sauce. DIVINO!!! Argentine icecream is always the cherry on the top. After dinner we laughed and laughed with Maria’s beautiful mom. She reminds me a lot of my own mom in that they are both young at heart with gorgeous faces and being around people actually provides a source of energy. HUGE thanks to Maria for such an incredible night.

I want to send out a special word to our dear Peter. He is leaving Argentina early to lead a youth leadership camp in Indonesia. He will be greatly missed here- we love you Peter!
